key01-yaaDefination of Cake

What is Cake?

"Cake is often the dessert of choice for meals at ceremonial occasions, particularly weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. There are countless cake recipes; some are bread-like, some rich and elaborate, and many are centuries old. Cake making is no longer a complicated procedure; while at one time considerable labor went into cake making (particularly the whisking of egg foams), baking equipment and directions have been simplified so that even the most amateur cook may bake a cake." -via Wikipedia

Other than a dictionary definition, I truly agree with Julia Child.
"A party without cake is just a meeting"
The sweet little thing bring people color, sugar, joy and excitement.
Cake is so delicate that we would only allow to have so little.
I sometimes wonder why do we not serve cake before meal or even appetizers?
Well, we will probably starting to fight for more before your wine finish breathing.

It was my Birthday.
My favorite part is THE CAKE!
Yes, they look totally homemade.
The point is I did not make them!
Boyfriend was really sweet,
he thought I deserve a homemade cake for my birthday.
He said, "You have always make cake for others' birthday, you should get one too"
Aww, thank you.
It was his first time baking a cake.
He made it from scratch with a online recipe.
(I have no idea where he found it, but it was really good!)
This chocolate cake is moist and rich.
All my friends and I enjoyed it very much.
It is probably the best birthday prezzy I ever get.

Freshly made Mille-feuille! "The mille-feuille (French pronunciation: [mil fœj], "thousand sheets"),[1] vanilla slice, cream slice, custard slice, also known as the Napoleon, is a pastry originating in France.
Traditionally, a mille-feuille is made up of three layers of puff pastry (pâte feuilletée), alternating with two layers of pastry cream (crème pâtissière), but sometimes whipped cream, or jam are substituted. The top pastry layer is dusted with confectioner's sugar, and sometimes cocoa, or pulverized nuts..."
